2. President Bush has sent Congress the first-ever 3-trillion-dollar spending blueprint. Bush says the plan will help keep America safe by increasing defense spending. But Democrats are criticizing the plan. They say it's doomed to fail because it forces the rest of government to pinch pennies.

3. Virginia police have confiscated these pictures at an Abercrombic & Fitch store. They say the images are obscene. But the company says the pictures show nothing more than what you see at a beach or from a plumber working on your kitchen sink.

4. Residents and tourists in New Orleans say they are ready for Mardi Gras also known as 'Fat Tuesday'. The celebrations range from family friendly parades in the suburbs to heavy drinking in the city's famous French Quarter.
