It is the height of the ski season in Europe, the U.S. and across the Northern Hemisphere. Millions are enjoying downhill recreation, but some are enjoying it a little too much. Some recent deaths and serious injuries on the slopes might have been prevented if more skiers and snowboarders observed the first rule of the National Ski Areas Association's "Your Responsibility Code": ski under control.
