It's the biggest wholesale fish market in the whole of Hong Kong

and it's always busy but in the run-up to New Year it is absolutely frantic.

The fish that is sold here will go out to hotels, restaurants and food markets all over the city.

这里的鱼会卖往全市的酒店、餐厅和食品市场

Covering 15,700 square metres, it's a place that reflects Hong Kong's international flavour

占地15700平方米，这个市场能体现出香港的国际味儿

with catches coming from as far afield as the USA, Ireland and Australia.

Fish from the main market are brought to smaller markets like this one in Bowrington Road

and locals will come here everyday to find the freshest fish that Hong Kong has to offer

David, one thing I have noticed in Hong Kong is that there don't seem to be supermarkets anywhere really
