That looks like some sort of vegetable. It's fiddlehead fern.

And I love it - chillies, like in Thailand. Garlic, chillies.

This is the most unusual breakfast I've had in China, so far.

This is supposed to be the birthplace of tea,

So I'm excited to try the pu-erh tea,

cos that's one of my favourite teas.

It's awfully good for you, it's very cleansing,

and it helps to lower cholesterol,

Pu-erh tea, named after a town in Yunnan, came to prominence

普洱茶，以云南省一个小镇的名字命名

when it was drunk by emperors during the Tang Dynasty, 1,300 years ago.

自1300年前被唐代皇帝品过后美名远扬

Today it's a global export industry worth millions of pounds.

如今，普洱茶已是价值几百万英镑的全球出口产业

Unlike most teas which can lose their freshness soon after production,

不像大多数出产不久便失去新鲜的茶

pu-erh tea is fermented, which improves the taste,

普洱茶是经过发酵的，这提升了普洱的口感

texture and aroma.

The most sought-after pu-erh teas can take 30 years to mature

and one cup of leaves can reach up to ?,000.

After a two-hour journey,

I arrive at the tiny village of Zhanglang,
