In today's podcast, an international anti-graft watchdog says corruption is worsening in China and lowers China's rank in its report. 在今天的播客中,国际反腐败组织称中国的贪污腐败问题正在日趋严重,这降低了中国在这项报告中的排名。 China fell 20 spots in this year's corruption rankings in a report released on December 2nd by Berlin-based Transparency International. The group scored 175 countries and regions based on how corrupt experts perceive them to be. The lowest rankings indicate the highest levels of corruption. China, the world's second largest economy, placed 100th at the group's Corruption Perception Index this year. Other emerging economies also had low rankings, such as India and Brazil. Sudan, North Korea and Somalia ranked as the lowest and Denmark, New Zealand and Finland as the least corrupt countries. China's foreign affairs ministry's spokeswoman Hua Chunying said the group overlooked the country's achievements in fighting corruption in past year.
