Alex: I am. I wrote a report for Carol.

阿莱克斯：是啊。我给卡罗尔写了一则报道。

Linda: Did she like it? Did she love it?

琳达：她喜欢吗？还是非常喜爱？

Alex: I don't know. She may dislike it.

阿莱克斯：我不知道。她可能不喜欢。

Linda: I doubt that. You write good reports. When did you give it to her?

琳达：我不这么认为。你的报道写的很好。你什么时候给的她？

Alex: I gave it to her at noon, just before lunch.

阿莱克斯：我中午的时候给的，就在午饭前。

Alex: No, I put it on her desk.

Linda: Then maybe she didn't check it yet.

Alex: Or maybe she did look at it, and she hates it.

阿莱克斯：也许她看过了，就是很讨厌。

Linda: Don't be worried, Alex. I think she will talk to you soon.

琳达：别担心，阿莱克斯。我想她马上会和你谈的。

Alex: I hope so. I can't stand waiting much longer.

阿莱克斯：希望如此。我等不下去了。

Linda: Alex! It's only 1:00 p.m.!
