Alex: A local woman found a giant rat. It was bigger than some pet dogs!

Linda: Ew! That's horrible. Where was the rat?

琳达：额！太可怕了！那只老鼠在哪里呢？

Alex: It was sitting on a mat in the woman's living room.

Linda: Alex, your story sounds like a kid's poem.

Alex: What do you mean?

Linda: "A fat rat sat on a mat."

Alex: You're right! Maybe I can use that in my story.

阿莱克斯：是啊！也许我的故事里可以用到这句诗。

Linda: Perhaps. It's sometimes fun to use words with similar sounds.

琳达：应该可以。有时候用相似发音的单词是很有意思的。

Alex: Such as, "A fat rat chases a woman's black cat!"

阿莱克斯：比如说“一只肥老鼠在追逐一个女人养的黑猫！”

Linda: That's perfect! That's a funny story!

琳达：好棒啊！真是一个有趣的故事！
