2. The United States may air-drop aid to victims of a cyclone in Myanmar, doing it without the government's permission. The UN is appealing to the country's military leaders to let a major international aid effort to begin.

3. Severe weather moves through parts of Mississippi and Alabama. Strong winds toppling some homes, all an apparent tornado damaged a shopping mall in Tupelo, Mississippi. Some school systems released students early. The storms caused no injuries.

4. In Colorado Springs, several bears make a mess of the neighborhood going through the trash, crawling up a tree. All captured on tape. The bears eventually moved on, running out of the neighborhood and then up a hill.
