2.At least eight people were killed and one remains missing after this plane crashed in southern Minnesota. It went down as severe weather was battering the region with wind gusts of up to 72 miles per hour.

3.Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic says he will defend himself at his war crimes tribunal. He appeared at the UN court for the first time today. He's facing eleven charges including genocide and crimes against humanity.

4.A golden retriever has come to the rescue of a trio of baby white tigers, who were abandoned by their mother. Zookeepers say the dog has been treating the cubs as her own and even licks and cleans them.
