3. One hundred and forty-five people were killed in a stampede at a Hindu temple in northern India. The pilgrims were attending a nine-day religious festival. Dozens of people fell over the edge of a mountain path when a railing gave way.

4. Brett Farve will return to the Green Bay Packers' roster effective Monday afternoon. Farve announced his retirement in March. The NFL commissioner held off on granting Farve's request for reinstatement for nearly a week, hoping he and the team would resolve their differences.
