1. No change from the Fed as expected. Federal Reserve policymakers have decided for a second straight meeting to leave the federal funds rate at two percent. The Fed decision means that commercial banks' prime lending rate will remain unchanged at five percent, its lowest level since late 2004.

2. Officials say someone reported smelling smoke but there wasn't any sign of fire aboard this plane. People evacuated down inflatable chutes after this American Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport. One hundred and eighty-eight passengers and six crew members were on board.

3. The Department of Justice says it has charged eleven people in connection with hacking nine major retailers. They're also being charged with theft and sale of more than 40 million credit and debit card numbers. It's thought to be the largest hacking and identity theft case ever prosecuted.

4. And how much is that cloned puppy in the window? This American woman just got five puppies cloned from her beloved late pit bull. A South Korean biotech firm claims this is the world's first commercial dog cloning service. These puppies don't come cheap, costing between 50,000 to 150,000 dollars
