1.It will be at least nine years and maybe as long as 33 years before O.J. Simpson is a freeman again. The former football great was sentenced to prison by a Las Vegas judge for his part in an armed robbery at a hotel last year. The 61-year-old could be eligible for parole after nine years.

2.There seems to be consensus in Washington that the government must do something to help US automakers. Exactly what is still being debated. Auto executives are pushing for a 34-billion-dollar aid package. But President Bush is worried about giving dollars to companies that may not survive.

3.One of the largest jewel heists in history. In Paris, armed robbers, some disguised as women, snatched 108 million dollars worth of diamond rings, necklaces and watches from this posh boutique.

4.Just in time for the holiday season, a contest in New York to determine the nation’s most gifted gift wrapper. Contestants had to wrap odd shape objects like a set of golf clubs and a baby grand piano. Wrapping it up, the winner claimed 10,000 dollars.
