2. Pope Benedict has visited some of the holiest sites in the Middle East. Today he stopped by the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall. And later he celebrated Mass in a valley beneath the spot where Jesus is believed to have prayed with his disciples before his arrest.

3. Dozens of young girls have been hospitalized after a gas attack at their school in Afghanistan. Young girls trying to get education have long been the target of Islamic militants and the government says those extremists were behind this strike.

4. Miss California USA can keep her title. Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant, says racy photos of Carrie Prejean were acceptable as well as her answer on gay marriage during the pageant.
