访谈录 2009-07-11&07-14 费德勒:决胜盘16比14令人难(在线收听) |
Roger, congratulations, all those greats in the front row, take and get in. Finally it's your major title 15th. But could you have imagined 77 games and the longest Grand Slam final history to achieve it, haven't you? No, not really. I mean you have expected a tough match and there is, definitely, a few tiebreakers, like the, you know the matchs that I usually play against Roddick. But, to finish, I think 16-14, I don't even know anymore, but like 16-14 in the 5th, it's amazing. You know, and to, then of course, in front of all those legends and records around the corner, it was, I don't know, it was fitting for me, it was really hard for Andy of course. Did you ever doubt the 15th will happen? Was there a moment you thought this is really gonna be a huge challenge, just could be tough. Well, I mean I guess there was some talk about it, you know, like people saying... ......your head, not talks ...... Yeah, but ......, it involves you, because you know, people are saying you are gonna make 20, so then you, you always say "hey, you think it's okay, it's crazy. But I'm gonna try." Then you hear like, "Oh, he's gonna be struggled to get 15." You know, and it's really difficult as a player. You know, you have to focus round by round and it's a hard thing to do because you don't want to get ahead of yourself and Grand Slams don't come easily. You just know it. It doesn't matter if it's your favorite surface or your least favorite surface, they just don't come easy and many players know it, and I know it too, and the last years have been spectacular for me because I didn't win them that easily, those finals, for instance, I went through, a lot of five-setters now. Whereas in the beginning, everything just seems so easily, you know. So it was a, it was a great few years I live now and this summer has been amazing for me of course. You are about a month short of 28, but you are 'young' in 28, everybody says. Do you have a number in your mind of these majors before you are through? How many I wanna win? I'm happy right now. I mean of course I hope I can win a title every year I play. Because that's Pete set it the right way, back then. And any, every year you win one major, it's a great year. Many in the tennis looking forward to Rafa's knees healing and getting back out there, you never played with him in a big match in New York. I've never played him at all actually at the US Open. So I hope he comes back strong, I am quite confident that he will and looking forward to the US Open, because this is gonna be quite, quite something, with Roddick also playing so well right now. Wonderful achievement, well done, congratulations! Thanks for your time. |
