1. A law enforcement official says the US has known for at least two years that the suspect in the Christmas Day terror attempt, aboard a US passenger jet, could have terrorist ties. The official says Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab was on a list of those with known or suspected ties to a terrorist organization. Others cautioned the claims could not be verified immediately.

2. The Vatican is vowing to review its security procedures two days after a woman pulled Pope Benedict to the ground. The Vatican says the same woman planned a similar attack a year ago.

3. Actor Charlie Sheen is out of jail on bond. He was arrested Christmas Day on domestic violence charges. Sheen's lawyer cautioned against rush to judgment.

4. And a South Florida man surprised his girlfriend and people waiting for their luggage at Fort Lauderdale Airport. Emmanuel Corazzari proposed to girlfriend Lori Tiggalaar - who said yes!
