1. The Senate has rejected a plan aimed at tackling the federal deficit. The plan didn't get the needed 60 votes. The vote came hours after the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office predicted a $1.35 trillion deficit for this year.

2. The brother of figure skater Nancy Kerrigan will undergo psychological evaluation after pleading not guilty to assaulting their 70-year-old father. Police say Mark Kerrigan put his hands around his father's neck before the elder Kerrigan fell to the floor and later died.

3. The State Department says the number of US fatalities in the January 12th earthquake in Haiti is nearing 100. A spokesman says the confirmed death toll is now 60. Another 37 Americans were killed, but their identities have not yet been officially established.

4. And some fancy footwork on the streets of London. Also, this soccer player can break a world record by juggling the ball 30 miles. The 26-year-old already has a record for handling the ball the longest 24 hours.
