1. President Barack Obama travels to the Kennedy Space Center today to reassure workers that America's space adventures will continue despite the coming end of space shuttle flights. The Obama space plan relies on private companies to fly to the space station.

2. Foreclosures have hit record numbers in the first three months of the year. The number of US homes taken over by banks jumped 35% in the first quarter compared to a year ago. Households facing foreclosure have also grown up 16% from the same time last year.

3. Toyota says it's testing the safety of its sport utility models. after Consumer Reports warned about the 2010 Lexus GX460. The magazine says the SUV has possible rollover problems. Toyota has temporarily stopped selling the GX460 but has not recalled it.

4. All flights in and out of Heathrow and Stansted airports are suspended because of ash clouds drifting from Iceland's spewing volcano. Heathrow is Europe's busiest airport with more than 1,200 flights a day. Airspace in Denmark is also closed for the same reason.
