The Lakers are back in the NBA Finals for the second straight year. They earned the return trip with a convincing 119-92 win over Denver in Game Six of the Western Conference Finals.

"We saved our best game for last here, or maybe here we caught our opponent a little bit off stride in tonight's game but we had the momentum almost from the beginning of the game on."

The Lakers raced out to a 13-point halftime lead with Kobe Bryant leading the way. He scored 11 in a 21-7 run just before the half just  part of an impressive 35-point-performance.

"Number 24 had a great five minutes at the end of the game that no one in basketball could've covered him. So I mean I don't care what you said. He made about four shots in that stretch, you know, I think Jesus would had trouble covering him."

"It's a tremendous honor obviously to be, um, you know viewed that way in terms of being hard to defend offensively."

Paul Gasol and Lamar Odom each had 20 for the Lakers who had five players in double figures and shot 57%.

The loss was a bitter one for the Nuggets who seemed down the road early in the playoffs.

"When you face an elimination, man, you just, you gotta live on the court. You can't be out-worked, you can't be out-rebounded, you know, all the things that happened can't happen."

Billups was limited to 10 points while Carmelo Anthony's 25 pace the Nuggests who have to settle for second best in the west this season.
