CCTV9英语新闻：China actively participates in meetings

Since the first proposal of CICA in 1992, China has been participating in the meetings actively. China introduced the concept of Asia Security to CICA, which became a key topic in its meetings at various levels. 

 

In the second foreign ministers' meeting in 2004, China proposed four appeals on promoting multilateral cooperation. 

 

In the third meeting in 2008, China supported the progress on interaction and confidence-building in Asia. China took the presidency in May 2014, and all member states expressed their support. 

 

China speaks highly of CICA's achievements, and calls for further cooperation on issues of security and development in Asia.
