Electronics manufacturer Bosch is to cut 380 jobs at its manufacturing plant at Clayton in Melbourne. The company says it'll relocate part of its car electronics business to Asia. The Australian Workers Union says Bosch has not spoken to the union about the cuts. Bosch insists it remains1 committed to manufacturing in Australia and that there are no other plans to slash2 any more jobs.
David Jones's former chief executive, Mark McInnes, has been recruited by billionaire Solomon Lew with a pay package of as much as $5.2 million a year. Mr McInnes resigned from DJs last year after admitting acting3 in a manner and becoming of a chief executive towards a female employee. He's now been appointed CEO of Premier4 Investments' retail5 arm, just group which owns chains like Portmans, Peter Alexander and Just Jeans.

The All Ords closed 46 points higher and the ASX200 gained 43 points, or about one per cent. Elsewhere in the region, Tokyo's Nikkei is up about half a per cent. The Hang Seng is also stronger.
