The unemployment rate in the United States has remained steady at 6.7 percent following the release of the latest jobs data overnight. The US added 192,000 news jobs in March in line with market expectations. The strongest jobs growth was recorded in health care, professional and business service, mining and logging.
China's push to make its currency global has entered a new phase this week as the country signed an agreement with Britain to set up clearing services for the Yuan trading in London, just days after it clinched1 a similar deal with Germany. China's central bank, the People's Bank of China and its UK counterpart sign a memorandum2 of understanding to set up clearing arrangements for the Yuan. Analysts3 say the arrangements are a key step towards the establishment of an offshore4 Yuan trading center in Europe.
