The US Federal Reserve should delay the end of its bond purchase program according to St. Louis Federal Reserve chairman James Bullard. Mr. Bullard says the end of the quantitative1 easing program should be delayed to halt a decline in inflation expectations. He is the first official to publicly suggest the bank should extend the asset purchase program. US Treasury2 Yields fell on the back of Mr. Bullard's comments.
And Google has missed its earnings3' forecast with third-quarter revenue come in at just over 16.5 billion dollars. The result was, however, an increase of 20% over the same quarter last year, but net earnings fell more than 5%. Google's cost-per-click metric, which measures how much the company makes each time a user clicks on the net, continued with its downward trend falling 2% on year.
