 Environment minister Greg Hunt has welcomed the landmark¹ climate deal with the US and China,but says australia is already delivering on its own commitment to reduce emissions².China has promised its emissions will peak by 2030 while the US has set its most ambitious pollution reduction targets ever.But opposition³ leader Bill Shorten says Austraila is at risk of international embarrassment⁴ if climate change is not on this week's G20 agenda.

 

Meanwhile australian multi-billion dollar renewable energy industry says it has been thrown into crisis and is warning of a widespread job losses following a breakdown⁵ negotiations⁶ between the government and opposition.Labor's walked away from talks on the renewable energy target,accusing the government of wanting to destroy the sector⁷.

 

A man and a woman have been found shot dead in a property in the Murray river town of Moama in what police believe is a double murder.Police was called this morning when a pass-by discovered the bodies in a vehicle.
