 CNN projects Rick Santourm will win today's Kansas caucuses¹.CNN political director Mark Preston says it's a very big win for the former Pennsylvania senator,heading into the Tuesday's up coming contest in the south.

 

Mississippi and Alabama,very important for couple of reasons.One is because Newt Gingrich has really staked his candidacy on doing very well in the south.He won Georgia,but he really needs to do well in Alabama and Mississippi,if not, a lot of people will be asking for him to step aside and Mitt² Romney has not won in the south yet,and he is looking for a win,if we look at the polling right now,Mitt Romney might have a shot in winning one of those states,but Rick Santorum is doing very well in the south,and perhaps this Kansas's victory might push him over the edge.
