2017年CRI China's top legislative body opens annual session

 

The Fifth Session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislative¹ body, opened in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Sunday.

Chinese Premier² Li Keqiang delivered the government work report at the opening of the session when growth targets for the year were unveiled.

The NPC session this year will debate on the government work report, the budget of the central government and the draft General Provisions of Civil Law, among other matters.
