(单词翻译:双击或拖选)
Mike: Amanda, I'm dying to see that new Jim Carrey film that came out on Friday. I hear it's one of his best performances ever.
Amanda: Mike, you know I'm not a fan of slapstick. If I were, I'd watch Tom and Jerry cartoons instead. Can we go see something else, like a nice romantic comedy or even a thriller1?
Mike: Jim Carrey is hilarious2! He's one of the most talented comedians3 alive today. Gosh Amanda, where's your sense of humor?
Amanda: I honestly can't stand his manic acting4 and the silly faces he makes. I'd rather stay at home and watch sitcoms6 on TV, or I could just pop in a DVD from my "Friends" box set.
Mike: Oh, can I come over to your place? We can watch it together. "Friends" is one of my favorite shows, too. I've seen nearly every episode7 from all ten seasons. I think it's the best show ever aired.
Amanda: Me too! My favorite character is Chandler—his one-liners always make me crack up. Actually, now that I think about it, you remind me of him sometimes.
Mike: Funny, I was about to say you remind me of Monica from "Friends"—you're a neat freak just like her, and you love cooking!
