59. A Lost Bag

No sooner had¹ the bell rang. Then a middle age man accompanied² by our teacher walked into the classroom. All of us looked at one of them.Questions were written on every face. The man steped onto⁴ the stage⁵ and said⁶, "I lost my bag on my way to my office 2 days ago. As³ i was⁷ wondering⁸ where I could⁹ find it, I recieved a phone call. It was a girl who had picked¹⁰ up my lost bag near a bus stop. And she had found¹¹ my phone number in the bag. Then I realized¹² that I must had lost my bag when I was hurrying to catch the bus. The girl didn't leave until¹³ I returned¹⁴ to the bus stop and got¹⁵ back my bag. But she then left in such¹⁶ a hurry that I had no time to ask her name. I had spent 2 days visiting the school's nearby¹⁷. I would¹⁸ like to thank her.

As he was speaking, Our teacher walked to Guanlan Shu and asked her, " why didn't you tell me the reason¹⁹ when you came²⁰ to school late the day before yesterday. At that time, Guanlan had to look up. Before she said anything, the man cried out, "It is her! She is the very person²¹ who returned the bag to me!" All the eyes were fixed²² on Guanlan with the appreciation²³.
