Voice 1: Feelings of suicide¹ are very real. When people experience suicide feelings they should not ignore² or try to forget them. If a person tells you that he wants to end his life, you should believe him and try to help him. If you feel like you want to end your life, tell someone. Seek³ help as soon as you can.

You may not understand exactly how the person feels. We can better help our friends and family just by being⁵ quiet and listening.

Voice 1: Listening without offering your own opinion can be hard. But remember, this is not about you. It is about the other person. So, it is important to try to understand the other person's feelings. And it is important not to compare that person's life to your life.
