 　　(LONDON, Reuters)The taller you are, the longer you are likely to live.

　　（路透社伦敦电）长得越高，可能就越长寿。

　　Taller people nowadays tend to have a greater life expectancy¹ than their shorter counterparts².

　　现今个头较高的人平均寿命通常比矮个子的人还长。

　　But new research shows that even as far back as the ninth century, greater height meant a longer life.

　　不过新的研究显示，甚至早在9世纪的时候，长得越高的人就活得越久。

　　The scientists found that people with smaller bones tended to die younger.

　　科学家发现，骨架比较小的人较易短命。
