1. Security has been increased at the Port of Miami. The FBI says 3 men of Middle Eastern descent were caught trying to slip past a checkpoint in a cargo¹ truck. Authorities say the driver lied about being alone within the cab. The other 2 were found hiding inside.

2. Authorities in Tennessee say they have arrested 2 suspects in the fatal shooting of a state trooper whose body was found by hunters. They say footage from the patrol car video camera shows Trooper Calvin Jenks trying to get the 2 men out of their car.

3. Road crews near Denver are using artillery² shells to blast piled up snow trying to make sure no more cars get trapped by avalanches³. Yesterday a snowslide knocked 2 cars off the road trapping 8 people who were later rescued.

4. Authorities at Disney-MGM Studios have suspended a worker who plays Tigger at the theme park for allegedly punching a boy. The incident was caught on tape by the boy's father who is demanding an apology.
