1. BP CEO Tony Hayward is expected to appear before a House panel today. Hayward plans to tell Congress he's personally devastated¹ by the Gulf² oil spill. Hayward says BP has spent nearly 1.5 billion since the rig disaster, and adds BP won't stop until the job is done.

4. Golf's second major of the year tees off today. The US Open starts at Pebble⁴ Beach. Phil Mickelson is trying to win his second major of the year after winning the Masters in April. Lucas Glover is the reigning⁵ champion.
