Hamas militants¹ and Israel have resumed attacks on each other after failing to agree on another temporary ceasefire. The two sides have previously² agreed on a 12-hour truce³ on Saturday. Officials say the 20-day war has killed over 1,000 Palestinians and Israel has lost 42 soldiers and 2 civilians⁴.

The Costa Concordia cruise liner which capsized more than 2 years ago but excessively moored⁵ in the Italian port Genoa. Officials say this is one of the biggest ever maritime⁶ salvages⁷ operations after a 4-day journey to the Mediterranean⁸ Sea.

Italy’s Vincenzo Nibali has won 103th Tour de France making him the first Italian to win cycling’s x three in 16 years. Nibali is only the six riders to win all three Grant Tours in France, Italy and Spain.

And a Florida web camera captured the hatching in the live time. About 100 3-inch-long baby turtles were caught on camera minutes after hatched from a nest in Florida Keys beach and headed right to the beach’s shore. The webcam was part of an effort to raise awareness⁹ about the need to protect sea turtles.
