The police chief in a St.Louis suburb where a police officer fatally shot an unarmed teenager said he is holding off on publicly identifying the officer because of death threats. The officer was placed on administrative¹ leave Saturday after fatally shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown.

Sheriff's officials confirmed Tuesday Robin² Williams committed suicide by hanging himself with a belt at his San Francisco Bay Area home. Williams' personal assistant found the actor Monday in his bedroom.

A convoy³ of Russian trucks headed for eastern Ukraine Tuesday on a mission to deliver aid to a desparate rebel-held zone in eastern Ukraine. But Ukraine's government said they had no information about what the trucks were carrying and insist aid must be delivered by the Red Cross.

And a zoo in southern China has three new baby pandas. A 2-year-old panda gave birth to triplets on July 29. And zoo officials said they are confident the cubs⁴ will survive.
