Thousands attended the funeral for 25-year-old Freddie Gray held in Baltimore Monday where community and political figures spoke¹ on his death. Gray died after suffering a critical spinal² injury while he was in police custody³. His death has prompted numerous marches and rallies in the area.

Homes across Nepal are in ruins as aftershocks from an earthquake rattled⁴ the region over the weekend. The death toll⁵ from the disaster soared past 4000 as rescuers search for survivors⁶. The State Department says at least 4 Americans have died.

And Loretta Lynch has been sworn in as the United States' 83rd Attorney General following months-long delay after her nomination⁷. Lynch replaces Eric Holder⁸, and is the first African-American woman to hold the post.
