Authorities in upstate New York focused on a small town near Lake Champion as they search for 2 murderers who broke out of prison. Residents had seen 2 men walking in a rainstorm. But police didn't find anything.

The Mckinney Texas police officer who was seen pointing a gun at black teens during a pool party has resigned. Community activists¹ are calling for an investigation² into former officer David Casebolt's conduct.

Villages evacated their homes in western Indonesia because of an erupting volcano. The volcano is shooting out hot rocks and ash with debris³ slidding down the side of the mountain.

And residents of the tiny town of Iliff in eastern Colorado have been without water for more than a week. Getting water back could take 10 days more. The town's water main broke during flooding on the south Platte River.
