1. Senior military officials say United States is looking into whether Russia participated in the Syrian chemical weapons attack. That attack provoked U.S airstrikes against the Assad government.
2. Meantime, the U.S missile strikes on Syria overshadowed the second day of talks between president Donald Trump1 and Chinese president Xi Jinping. Trump and Xi spent part of the day in talks at Trump's estate in Florida. They were expected to discuss North Korea's nuclear ambitions and trade.
3. A hijacked2 beer truck crashed into an upscale apartment store in central Stockholm. The Swedish prime minister called the crash "A terror attack". At least three people have been killed.
4. Vice3 president Mike Pence presided over the final confirmation4 as the senate voted 54-45 in favor of judge Neil Gorsuch to become the next member of the supreme5 court. Gorsuch is expected to be sworn in on Monday.
