Arkansas has carried out its first execution in nearly a dozen years. Ledell Lee killed a woman back in 1993. He was one of eight inmates¹ the state originally planned to execute before a lethal² injection drug expires at the end of the month.

French police have raided a home east of Paris as they investigate Thursday's shooting on the iconic Champs-Elysees Boulevard. Police shot a gunman to death after he killed an officer and wounded three other people.

Three police officers were injured while trading gunfire with a robbery suspect in downtown Seattle Thursday. One suspect was killed, two others were captured.

And a former Tennessee teacher accused of kidnapping a 15-year-old student has been charged with taking a minor³ across state lines to have sex. The girl was found safe with former teacher Tad Cummins in Northern California Thursday.
