Protesters are gathering¹ in France ahead of this weekend's G7 Summit. More than 13,000 police are guarding the meeting, which President Trump² and other world leaders are set to attend.

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has released a new 16-trillion-dollar climate plan. It calls for the United States to move to renewable energy across the economy by 2050.

Sacramento, California authorities say more than 2 dozen people were hurt in light rail accident. Most of the injuries were minor³. There was no immediate⁴ report of what caused the accident.

And more than 4,000 people in Northern California were told to evacuate⁵ their homes due to a wildfire. The flames began Thursday about 200 miles north of San Francisco.
