 　　Together, we will reclaim¹ America's schools, before ignorance and apathy² claim more young lives.

　　我们要共同努力，改革美国的教育体制，不能让无知和冷漠吞噬更多年轻的生命。

　　We will reform Social Security and Medicare, sparing our children from struggles we have the power to prevent. And we will reduce taxes, to recover the momentum³ of our economy and reward the effort and enterprise of working Americans.

　　我们要改革社会保险和医疗制度，竭尽全力不让我们的孩子陷入困境。我们要减少税收，恢复经济发展动力，报答辛勤工作的美国人民的努力和进取心。

　　We will build our defenses beyond challenge, lest weakness invite challenge.

　　We will confront weapons of mass destruction, so that a new century is spared new horrors.

　　我们将抵制大规模杀伤性武器，一个崭新的世界不应有新的恐怖威胁。

　　The enemies of liberty and our country should make no mistake: America remains⁴ engaged in the world by history and by choice, shaping a balance of power that favors freedom. We will defend our allies and our interests. We will show purpose without arrogance⁵. We will meet aggression⁶ and bad faith with resolve and strength. And to all nations, we will speak for the values that gave our nation birth.

1 reclaim
