The House needs to pass a short-term version of the compromise then we should negotiate agreement as quickly as possible to extend payroll tax and unemployment insurance for the rest of 2012.

 

Even the senate top republican Majority leader Mitch McConnell is telling the House GOP to move on short-term extension. But speaker John Boehner isn't budget.

The government in Pennsylvania has signed a law requiring tough regulation of state abortion¹⁴ clinics. As NPR Joe reports critics worry new law may limit access to safe abortion. Supporters say the law will protect women's health by holding abortion providers in Pennsylvania to same standard as outpatient surgical¹⁵ facilities.
