Authorities in San Francisco say a Chinese teenager survived Asiana Airlines crash, only to be struck and killed by an emergency vehicle responding to the scene. NPR’s Kirk Siegler has more.
A San Mateo County coroner says the Chinese student died of multiple blunt injuries that are consisting with run over by a vehicle. The finding has been widely suspected for about a week, but only confirm today. Authority has said the teenager girl’s body was found in an area that have been covered in fire retardant foam3. The rescuers had spreaded on around burning plain. The victim Ye Meng Yuan, one of three fatalities4 related to the crash, was apparently5 flung the Boeing 777 at rescue vehicles were rushing to the scene. San Francisco fire chief publicly apologized to the girl’s family, saying her department is heartbroken by the incident. Kirk Siegler, NPR New.
One of the biggest hedge fund managers in the world is facing a major security inquiry6. NPR’s Chris Arnold reports.
Steven Cohen and billionaire head of ICC capital advisers8 allegedly allowed insider trading to go on without properly investigating yet. That, according to a civil and enforcement action, the ICC has now filed against Cohen. Regulators are seeking the bold hedge manager for overseeing investors9 funds, he will not face jail time even after regulators duplicate its case. A spokesman for ICC said in a statement that ICC’ action “has no merit”. It is still early but inside industry advisers say ICC has appeared have a reasonable and mass evidence including instant messages from Cohen related to the case. Chris Arnold, NPR News.

Investigators11 with Canada’s transportation safety board say there was not enough braking power applied12 to the deadly runaway13 train that derailed and devastated14 this small Quebec town. Dan Carbonture reports in the wake of investigation15, the safety board has issued to a @@.
The first adviser7 related to the securing equipment in train are left unattended. The transportation safety board wants specially16 structures by railway to further safeguard against runaway trains. The second adviser dealt with secure trains carrying dangerous goods. The TSB want to review all operating procedures to ensure that those trains are not left unattended on a main track. The 72 car train carried crude oil with unman when it rolled into a town of Lac-Megantic two weeks ago and derailed. The explosion and fire that followed devastated the town’s chore, 42 people have been confirmed dead and another 8 are missing. The gulf19 Arab Emirates of Dubai is ready to pay its citizens to lose weight and a new 30 days weight loss challenge, Dubai is promising20 to pay residents one gram of gold for every kilogram loss. A minimum of 2 kilograms must be lost which is equivalent of 4.5 pounds. The 300-day weight loss challenge coincides with Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which calls for fasting during day light hours. Like other countries, Dubai is battling a surge of obesity21.
