The cleaning-up storm damaged in central Arkansas today. Tornadoes² and high winds killed 7 people and damaged or destroyed hundreds of homes. The governor has issued Disaster Declarations for 7 counties.

The Olympic torch relays went just through the glitzy casino resort of Macau without any problems. The torch now heads out on a multi-city tour around China that ends in Beijing for the official start of the summer game.

The secretary for the Dalai Lama says two envoys³ plan to meet with Chinese officials on Sunday. The scheduled talks are the first such contact since the violent protest broke out in Tibet last March.

She’s one of many children who've gone missing. But Madeleine McCann's disappearance⁴ in Portugal last May captured the attention of the world. It’s been exactly one year since the British girl disappeared. Portuguese⁵ authorities say they are still investigating her case.
