 Holloa! cried stationary¹ Elijah, hailing us when we had removed a few paces.  嗨！ 我刚走了几步，站在后面的以利亚又吆喝起来。 

Never mind him, said I, Queequeg, come on.  别理他，咱们走。 我招呼着魁魁格。

But he stole up to us again, and suddenly clapping his hand on my shoulder, said—Did ye see anything looking like men going towards that ship a while ago?  可是以利亚又悄悄地跟了上来，他拍了拍我们的肩膀，神秘兮兮地说： 嗨，我说，你们刚才看见有些人一样的东西向船上走去了吗？ 

Struck by this plain matter-of-fact question, I answered, saying, Yes, I thought I did see four or five men; but it was too dim to be sure.  看见了，有四五个人吧！不过比较模糊。我耐心地回答了他。 

Very dim, very dim, said Elijah. Morning to ye.  噢，很模糊，很模糊！好吧，早上好！ 

Once more we quitted him; but once more he came softly after us; and touching² my shoulder again, said, See if you can find 'em now, will ye?  我们加快了脚步，可他又跟了上来，低低地问： 试试看，你们还能看见他们的影子吗？ 

Find who?  什么影子！ 

Morning to ye! morning to ye! he rejoined, again moving off.  好啦，早上好，早上好！ 

Oh! I was going to warn ye against—but never mind, never mind—it's all one, all in the family too;—sharp frost this morning, ain't it? Good-bye to ye.  不过，我想告诉你们一下，今天霜很重，是吧？不过没关系，咱们是自家人，不用客气。再见！
