the very course he swung to this day noon? now mark his boat there; where is that stove? 是从他今天午刻叫转向的航线那边来的嘛？现在你留心一下那边他的小艇吧！漏洞在什么地方！

In the stern-sheets, man; where he is wont⁸ to stand — his stand-point is stove, man! Now jump overboard, and sing away, if thou must! 就在艇尾座的地方呀，朋友；那也就是他经常站着的地方——他的撑脚的地方都穿啦，朋友！所以，如果你一定要唱的话，就跳到海里，去唱个痛快吧！"
