 February 27th 1933 - In Berlin, fire gets Germany’s parliament building,the Reichstag , the Nazis¹ blame the Communist and use the fire to justify² suspending civil liberties,setting-up a dictatorship under Adolf Hitler. 1991 –"Kuwait is liberated³. Iraq's army is defeated. Our military objectives are met."President George H.W. Bush announces a cease-fire ending the Persian Gulf⁴ War. That happens after an American-led coalition⁵ drives Iraqi forces out of neighboring Kuwait.Iraq’s leader Saddam Hussain remains⁶ in power until a U.S.-led invasion in 2003 topples his regime.
