Ontario's provincial² government deems the girls' parents to be unfit and puts the quints in a specially-built hospital. That's where the identical sisters become a money-making tourist attraction during the great depression. Years later, the three surviving quints sue Ontario's government and receive a 2.8 million dollars settlement.
