第四课 家、温馨的家

'Mid¹ pleasures and palaces though we may roam,

虽然我们可以漫游在欢乐的宫殿里，

Be it ever so humble², there's no place like home!

但是没有地方像家一样谦卑。

A charm from the skies seems to hallow all there,

天空的魅力似乎把那儿的一切都神圣化了，

Which, seek through the world, is ne'er met, with elsewhere.

There's no place like home!

An exile from home, splendour dazzles in vain:

从家中流放出来，所遇到的华丽炫目都是惘然：

Oh, give me my lowly thatched cottage again;

归还我的茅舍小屋吧；

The birds singing gaily³ that came at m call;

鸟儿受到我的呼唤欢快地歌唱；

Give me these, and the peace of mind dearer than all.
