As disaster team enter the devastated¹ communities, the extent of the damage is clear. Villages have been wiped out by the wave of sludge, and wild life has been coated in dangerous chemicals. It's frustrating² work. Many of indigenous³ animals are frightened and in pain. These placed were evacuated⁴ when the toxic⁵ sewage swamped everything in its path. The red mark has also covered huge sways of farmlands.
So far, the reports were getting a certainly worrying. I mean our primary concern was people, people have died in this, people in hospital, and the second step is the land, the water, the fish, the plant life. So, it's, yeah, it's potentially major.
The sludge first hit the river Marcal, where PH level rose to 13.5, killing⁶ all aquatic⁷ life. That's the same reading its bleach⁸. In the river Raba, level was low but still dangerous at 10.5. Further away from the spill, and the PH value in the Mosoni-Danube was 9.65. Then in the Danube itself, the level peak today point 4. That's just within the safe levels for drinking water.
Huge quantities of plaster and ** acid are still being tipped in to feed rivers, entering the Danube, which is Europe’s second largest waterway. It's a race to reduce the alkalinity of the water and at that moments, it appears to be working. The contamination reached the Danube yesterday and it is already traveling to our Budapest. Slovakia and Hungary are notorieties our dating samples often three times a day and checking their contamination level.  More than 150 million gallons of poisonous sludge spill from the aluminum⁹ factory. The Hungarian government says this accident is nearly as big as the Gulf¹⁰ of Mexico disaster. And the worst affected¹¹ areas may be uninhabitable for generations to come.
