　　Do you know who the worst child in the world is? It is El Nino. 你知道世界上最坏的孩子是谁吗？是厄尔尼诺。

　　El Nino means¹ the little boy in Spanish. 厄尔尼诺在西班牙语中的意思是“圣婴”。

　　Is El Nino a Spanish boy then? No, it isn't. 那么厄尔尼诺是一个西班牙男孩吗？不是的。

　　El Nino isn't a human boy, instead, it is a water current² in the Pacific Ocean. 厄尔尼诺不是一个人类男孩，相反，它是太平洋上的涌流。

　　It appears around Christmas near south America,  它在圣诞节前后出现在南美洲，

　　so people thought El Nino was like Jesus who was born on Christmas. 所以人们认为厄尔尼诺像耶稣一样，出生在圣诞节。

　　The little boy means Jesus. “圣婴”指的是耶稣。

　　When El Nino flows and moves very hot water, the sea water become so hot that it even makes the weather hot, too. 当厄尔尼诺流动并移动非常热的水时，海水也变得非常热，甚至使天气都变热了。

　　El Nino also causes floods and droughts³. 厄尔尼诺也会导致洪水和旱灾。
