　　Canvas is used for oil painting. 帆布用于油画。

　　It is made with various kinds of fabrics¹, such as cotton, linen², polyester and so on. 它是由多种纤维织物构成的，包括棉花、亚麻线和聚酯等。

　　Canvas is not only used for painting, but also for making tents, sails, umbrellas and shoes. 帆布不仅用于作画，也可以制作帐篷、帆、雨伞和鞋子等等。

　　The first canvas was introduced around 1410 in Berlin. 大约在1410年，柏林第一次引入帆布。

　　But it didn't become very popular in Europe until the 17th century. 但直到17世纪，帆布才在欧洲流行起来。
